Human Resources Supervisor
Position Summary
Under the direction of a facility Human Resources Manager this position is accountable for overseeing staffing and orientation, employee and labor relations, safety, training, compensation and benefits at multiple plant locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Administer the company safety and security programs and ensures compliance with all OSHA regulations or applicable laws. Oversee all workers compensation incidents and return to work programs. Ensures all incidents are investigated and related records are up to date. Conduct SAFE observations and oversee the SAFE process.
2. Understand and administer policies, procedures and contracts to help ensure good relations with employees. Maintain an excellent working knowledge of labor law provisions, participation in complaint resolution, discipline recommendations, and other related activities as required.
3. Oversees the wage and benefit processes, including a working knowledge of health, disability, and retirement plans. Ensures appropriate records are maintained for benefit plan participation, retirement plan, personnel transactions, performance reviews and employee statistics. Oversees the record keeping for the Company’s EEO program.
4. Oversees the recruitment, interview process, and basic skills testing for operational employees.
5. Develop and administer policies and provide appropriate counsel to employees and management.
6. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

Proactively manage safety by ensuring compliance with all Federal and State regulations and internal Company policies. Regularly complete behavior based safety observations. Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
Must maintain the highest standards of data management by creating consistent, reliable data which will ensure accuracy and in turn, maximize the use of data and confidence in decision making.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in Human Resources. Complete supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Management, Human Resources, or related field; and two to four years related experience and/or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to complete routine mathematical calculations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software, Human Resource systems (Ceridian preferred) and Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified in First Aid and CPR preferred.
Minimal travel required for position.
